Welcome to my website. My book 'Ooh Yes I Do!' the gay & lesbian wedding planner was self published through CreateSpace in November 2013.

About me

I was born and bred in Utrecht (The Netherlands) and when I was 30 years old I moved to the United Kingdom in 2001. Six years later I met my husband Michael at a Eurovision Song-contest Party. It was love at first sight and we are still happily married.

In my free time I love to travel, visiting art exhibitions and museums, theatres and I do some photography. I also like socialising with family and friends.

Alongside writing a book I have made some paintings, I maintained and administered websites and I did Press and PR work for several years.

Looking back I noticed that I always had a passion for being creative and it's great that I have met a husband who is as equally creative as I am.

For example, a lot of creativity was put into our wedding. It took us nearly a year to plan it. So in December 2011, three months after our wedding, I decided to start writing a wedding planner for same-sex couples.

It's been a very exciting time to write a book especially without a biro and paper. Instead, I used my iPad, a wireless keyboard and the app Book Creator.

I hope you will enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Kind regards

Richard
